Today, Irene and her daughter, Alison, lead Indaba together, working with skilled artisans around the world—particularly in India—to create handcrafted pieces that celebrate traditional techniques and honour the people who make them. Each collection reflects their shared belief that home décor should feel warm, intentional, and full of heart.

Indaba began over 30 years ago with founder Irene Held, whose love of travel, global craft, and soulful objects inspired a brand rooted in meaning and connection.
